He also managed the Toronto tax practice of 10 partners and staff and served as Tax Partner for several small offices in remote communities. David is a former Governor of the Canadian Tax Foundation, President of the Estate Planning Council Toronto and a Director of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators. He served as Chairman of the General Legislation Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and as a member of the Institute’s Tax Committee. He was also a member of the Tax Policy Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Wayne C. Matheson CA A Chartered Accountant, Wayne has been working in the field of commodity taxation for more than three decades. He was a partner and National Director Commodity Taxes of a big four accounting firm. From 1967 to 1980 he was with Revenue Canada – Customs and Excise where he became Director of Tax Interpretations and after serving as Chief of Audit Ottawa and Regional Director, Prairies. He is a former Chairman of the Tax Policy Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. He also served as Chairman CICA Professional Development Committee and co-chaired and lectured in the in-depth GST Commodity Tax Course.
